This video aims to share an alternate perspective on Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz's The Thief and the Dogs. The visual aspect adds some visual context—as well as supplementary information, if the viewer is inclined to read it—in order to get the point across. (Completed in May of 2020)
This video was created to introduce an Algebra II/Trigonometry class to the concept of compounded interest, and how it compares to simple interest. Even after high school, compound/exponential growth can be difficult for individuals to understand; by adding a visual element, students are able to synthesize the idea of non-linear growth.
